Tracy
Tracy Knowles, former leader and soloist for
one of the Bahamas legendary music groups The
Gospel Impressions, has stepped out on his own
with his debut CD "Born to Serve".
Along with his teenage musician son Tracy Junior
(thus the name Tracy Tracy), the duo collectively
have produced a well rounded album, creatively
mixed with original recordings and traditional
favorites.
"Born
to Serve", serves up a delicious assortment
of Bahamian rhythms including the Junkanoo flavored
"Victory in Jesus" and the Rake &
Scrape "We Are Going Up". Using his
artistic planning skills, Knowles strategically
recorded two versions of the same track "Indebted
To You", one for Mothers Day "Indebted
to You"(Mother) and in time for next months
Fathers Day celebrations, "Indebted to
you"(Father).
The
plan no doubt was to ensure the project transcends
all seasons. One of the best songs on the disc
however is the albums title track, "Born
to Serve", an original composition that
captures the simplicity and strength of the
traditional Bahamian gospel sound. Overall "Born
to Serve" is a must have for gospel lovers
looking for a true Bahamian gospel experience.

Simeon Outten, former lead of singer of Marlin
Award winning group, D.E.C.I.S.I.O.N. steps

like Rake & Scrape, Junkanoo, and down home
Bahamian traditional sounds.
Freedom was produced by Bahamian Grammy award
winner, Lester Adderley, formerly, of the international
reggae group "Inner Circle" whose
song, "Bad Boy" inspide the file series
"Bad Boys". Freedom is also one of
the most requested Bahamian songs on Joy FM.
