Out
of Eden
Love, Peace, & Happiness

The
wait is finally over !!!!! Whew!!! Yes, the
new Out of Eden is here. Out of Eden fans have
been anticipating this latest effort for some
time and I can assure them that they will not
be disappointed.
The
album starts off with a bass bangin, dirty south,
ridin' wit ya' crew type jam, "Make Way",
which is perfect for hip hoppers. The song (which
I assume because of it's placing on the album
and lyrics) serves as an intro to the rest of
the album.
The
album also includes the anthem Soldiers. This
upbeat dance tracks serves as a charge to the
body of Christ to stand up for Christ and not
to be afraid.
Ballad
lovers will also feel right at home with this
record. The album is composed of many songs
with powerful messages including a heart to
heart from the groups lead singer Lisa Kimmey.
The
track "Should a Listened" is about
a mistake she may have made in choosing a relationship
and how she regrets not listening to the advice
of her family. It will truly serve as an excellent
testimony to young women.
Overall
the album is great. The harmony of the girls'
voices is awesome. You can hear that they are
truly more than a singing group. They are family.
The lead track will ensure its play at youth
groups and social events, Christian or Non Christian,
and the ballads will serve as an excellent accompaniment
to one's reflection time.
Righteous
Corner Productions - I'm Free

Righteous
Corner Productions, a British based record label
has decided to toss it's creative hat into the
ring of Caribbean gospel music with the release
of I'm Free, a compilation of stellar reggae
vocal contributions from the regions best.
The
14 track CD features new and original reggae/dancehall/culture
tracks.
Stand
out Tracks include "Result of I Wish",
a chapter two or continuation of the original
"I Wish" from reggae toastmaster Prodigal
Son.
His
former Main Street Label mate and five time
Marlin Award Winner Chevelle Franklyn also contributes
two solo tracks; the title track "I'm Free",
and "The Things I Do".
Chevelle
also teams up with Prodigal on his track "Result
of I Wish", taking the listener back to
their collaboration on "Here Comes the
Train", from Chevelle's five time Marlin
Award-winning CD, "Joy".
Other
tracks that peak are Judy Mowatt's "My
Lord and Savior", "Trust in the Lord"
by Osmond Collins, "Walk in His Promise"
by Sylvia Tella, and "Serve the Lord"
by Kimberly Williams.
Manifest
"The Manifestival: Music from My Heart"

The
carnival usually comes to Nassau, once a year.
But with the Manifestival, the fun never stops.
Lavard Parks a.k.a "Manifest" has
managed to create a hip hop album that is truly
all that it's name suggests 'Music from his
heart.
The
Manifestival is a hip-hop album. What does that
mean? Will it have hard lyrics? Will it have
rappers that you don't understand? Will it be
nothing more than repetitive beats? Well the
album does just the opposite, showing the many
sides of hip hop music.
The
track "in these days" features an
addictive hook and speaks about difficulties
Manifest had as a young rapper. The album also
features a remix of this song right before "Headbangers".
"Headbangers"
is a song, which speaks about being sold out
for God using the metaphor of a "Headbanger",
someone who really connects with his or her
music. To help with the message of this version
of the song, it contains elements of the rock
n' roll genre.
The
softer side of Manifest is shown on the tracks
"One Hope" and "Mama". In
the latter Manifest talks about the memories
he has of his mother who passed away and how
he misses her.
The
only thing that I suggest that Dunamus Soundz
work on is their vocals. They come off sounding
a little rough around the edges sometimes. The
Manifestival is a welcome addition to the Bahamian
Rap Genre. With Manifest's lyrics, beats, and
great background singers, it is guaranteed to
be a hit for years to come.
